Career Highlights

Currently, I am working as a Managing Consultant with SAP’s key Business Planning & Consolidation product (BPC) on both the Microsoft and Netweaver platforms, I have prior experience as both a Financial Analyst with some significant corporations here in Chicago, including MCI and Baxter Pharmaceuticals, and as a Staff Accountant for about 3 years in public CPA firms. I have advanced skills with MS-Excel (15 years), and MS-Access (6 years), as well as solid skills with G/L software including SAP FI/CO (2 years) and financial reporting software including Cognos Powerplay OLAP software (1.5 years).

Since Sept. 2005, I’ve been an application consultant with Outlooksoft Everest/CPM (corporate performance management). The product has been rebranded as SAP Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC).

From 05/2009, I have been a Managing Consultant for HCL-Axon, a prominent, SAP consultantancy with experience on v. 7.0 of the product, including extensive experience for 6 months of hands-on with the 7.0 Netweaver version of BPC (the latest and greatest).

From 06/2008 – 03/2009, I was a Lead Consultant at Global Analytics, LLC , on two full-cycle BPC implementations with v. 5.1 of the product.

With The Glenture Group, LLC (www.Glenture.com), from 03/2006 to 06/2008, as a Sr. Consultant, I have performed upgrades, new installations, and conversions to Outlooksoft, as well as advanced training, configuration and custom reporting solutions.

MCI, Inc. (http://www.mci.com), Functioned as a lead analyst in developing and implementing a system to query (using Hyperion Intelligence Analyzer, a.k.a. Brio Query), store, and analyze huge amounts of data corresponding to billing control signals for MCI’s wholesale customers. With this data we used MS-Access and MS-Excel to assemble, clean, correct and submit it for an estimated collection of approx. $5 million.
Storck, USA (http://www.Werthers.com)  Maker of Werther’s Original caramel, a $90 million subsidiary of August Storck, KG, the 101-year old candy manufacturer based in Germany with over 3,500 worldwide employees and revenue over $1 billion. After upgrading from SAP R/2 to R/3, the sales management team required daily reports to be run from Cognos. The IT manager was not able to spend the time required to set up a system to reliably generate the reports. I took the Cognos manual home for one Saturday and learned enough Cognos-script to produce first a working macro to run every day (relieving staff from running the 60+ reports manually every day), and then learned to implement the Cognos Scheduler to reliably automate the process. Process was used by management for nearly 1.5 years.
At Consorta, Inc. (http://www.Consorta.com), which controls approx. $3 billion in medical equipment purchasing, I was recruited as the “Jedi Master” of MS-Excel to play key role in assisting analytical staff in one of the most complex projects they have taken on. Comparing over 15,000 surgical products in huge spreadsheets provided by vendors Johnson & Johnson and TYCO/US Surgical, we were able to cross-match and prove a 5-year savings plan of over 20% on a purchasing plan over $450 million. Plan was approved and adopted by hundreds of Consorta-affiliated hospitals.
2+ years of G/L accounting and financial statement preparation experience, including at public CPA firms, most recently during 2004 busy season here in Chicago at Aronson & Co. CPA’s. References Available.
Passed CPA exam on 1st attempt here in Chicago (Merchandise Mart). Member: AICPA and IL CPA Society.
