Of course, we all know that Digg is one of the greatest of all websites for news.  But they’ve been experimenting with a 3D interface that is really neat.  If you haven’t already seen a 3D interface, check this one out.  It loads instantly(!):

While benchmarks show that it doesn’t really perform any better than current dual-core extreme chips, the apps aren’t heavily threaded.  Nevertheless, the a little bit of the future arrived today.

Well, I do Microsoft app’s by trade and software like Excel and SQL Server keeps me employed, but you have to take a look at the massive groundswell of a movement that Open Source and Linux are generating.

There shouldn’t be any question that once the “dinosaurs” like the Defense Dept. are getting on board, that it’s significant.

What will we be using to do financial reports in 3 or 5 years? Will it be the Eclipse writer with JBoss on Ubuntu linux?
